About Mississippi Boys' Hoops
Our Mission:
To enrich the lives of our youth by providing an arena for the game of basketball in a positive and rewarding environment of excellence.
Mississippi Boys Hoops is a non-profit youth basketball program that has been conducting youth tournaments since the spring of 1994. The objective of this youth program is to develop and encourage traditional values through youth and parental involvement in an organized sports environment. Traditional values of discipline, academics, sportsmanship, and respect are the main focus of Mississippi Boys Hoops. MBH strives to teach the youth in our community through basketball, that discipline and teamwork are important tools for developing good character.
The Mississippi Boys' Hoops annual "Battle of the South" Classic drew more than 135 teams from Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas and Georgia in March 2010. The 2011 event will be one of the largest weekend basketball tournaments in the southeastern region with over 150 teams expected to participate. This event provides our youth with athletic arenas to gain additional exposure and experience which gives them opportunities to participate in sports beyond the grade school and high school levels. Mississippi Boys Hoops is an organization that is committed to providing a tournament environment for youth that is both exciting and competitive.
